Throughout my life living around the world, I amassed a great amount of little tips that were valuable and saved me tons of time. Some were about a particular place, like a restaurant, a coffee shop, etc. Others were less tangible: for instance I discovered that I can get unlimited internet on my phone for very cheap.
In an effort to save them for future reference, I’ve been recording them on my laptop sporadically, and in doing so realized there was a better of way of saving them and sharing them with the world.
Introducing:
Groovy Tips – Insider Travel Tips from Locals
It’s a site I’ve been working for many months now, including my last few months in Brazil.
It’s very simple to use. Anybody can come in, register, and post a tip about a particular city and country. The tip can be about anything: a particular hotel you stayed in, a cool restaurant, a nice part of town, or something that you found/did not found worth doing.
If you like a particular tip, you can also up vote and similarly down vote one if you don’t fancy it.
You can also follow the tips via the site’s twitter account, @groovytips
Also please send me any comments, suggestions and feedback via “Feedback” link on the right of the screen.
